Abandoned car triggers panic in Kacheguda
An abandoned car near the Road Under Bridge in Hyderabad’s Kacheguda area caused panic among locals on Thursday. The vehicle, left with its headlamps on and driver missing, prompted fears of foul play. Police, assisted by the Dog Squad and Bomb Disposal Team, conducted thorough checks but found no explosives.

Hyderabad: Panic gripped the Kacheguda area after locals spotted a car abandoned near the Road under Bridge (RuB) on Thursday.
As per available information, the residents noticed the car parked across the road blocking it, with its headlamps on and the driver missing from it.
Suspecting foul play, they alerted the police.
Responding swiftly, the local police, along with the Dog Squad and Bomb Disposal Team, reached the spot and conducted thorough checks for any explosive materials.
However, no suspicious or explosive substances were found in the vehicle. It was then; the residents breathed a sigh of relief.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the car was registered in the name of one Balaji and could have been parked after it broke down on the move.
The Kacheguda police are investigating. Efforts are on to trace the owner and ascertain the circumstances under which the vehicle was left near the bridge.
The traffic in the vicinity was diverted briefly due to the incident.
