ACB nabs GHMC executive engineer for accepting bribe

The bribe amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the officer's office desk

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday arrested an executive engineer of GHMC after he was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a contractor.

The officer A Dasarath Mudiraj, Deputy Executive Engineer, working at the Quality Control Division – II GHMC had allegedly demanded and accepted Rs 20,000 to clear the file pertaining to works completed by a contractor and forwarding it to the higher officials.

The bribe amount was recovered from the officer’s office desk. The officer was arrested and produced before the ACB Cases Court. The case is under investigation.
