Adilabad: In a tragic incident, a farmer and his 15-year-old daughter were killed on the spot when the two-wheeler they were travelling on rammed into a bullock cart on the Hyderabad-Nagpur national highway at Mannur village in Gudihathnoor mandal on Sunday.
Gudihathnoor Probationary Sub-Inspector L Praveen said the deceased were identified as Tarade Ganesh (40) and his younger daughter Kalpana, a Class X student, residents of Harkapur village in Indervelli mandal.
Ganesh and Kalpana were gravely wounded when the two-wheeler collided with the bullock cart coming from the opposite direction, resulting in instantaneous death for the duo. They had fatal head injuries due to the impact of the accident. The rider of the cart Ranga Rao of Mannur was on the wrong side of the road leading to the mishap.

Based on a complaint filed by Ganesh’s wife, a case was registered against Ranga Rao. Police took up investigations. The bodies were shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad for a post-mortem.
