Adilabad: Voluntary organisation donates two oxygen concentrators
Adilabad DMHO Dr Narender Rathod said the services of the foundation were laudable and the gesture would bring respite to the needy patients of the disease
Adilabad: Deshpande Foundation, an Adilabad-based voluntary organisation which works for sustainable agriculture, donated two oxygen concentrators for Covid-19 patients. Shodhan Muneshwar, manager of the foundation, handed over the devices to DMHO Dr Narender Rathod in Adilabad on Wednesday.
Dr Narender said the services of the foundation were laudable and the gesture would bring respite to the needy patients of the disease. He sought other voluntary organisations to do their bit for helping the infected. He said that efforts were being made to provide better medical services to those who contracted the virus.
Meanwhile, Samjik Charitable Trust, a Mancherial town-based organisation run solely by women, fed around 100 physically challenged persons residing in Rajiv Nagar on the outskirts of the town. Deputy Commissioner of Police D Uday Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Akhil Mahajan and Inspector ML Muttilingaiah were present.
