Hyderabad: In the sensational murder case of advocate Khaja Moizuddin, the Nampally Police took two prime suspects into custody for further investigation on Friday.
A local court granted two-day police custody of Mahboob Alam Khan and his son, Congress leader Mujahid Alam Khan, following a request by investigators.
The suspects were brought from the Central Prison in Chanchalguda and questioned by the police to gather more details about the conspiracy behind the murder.
According to investigators, the father and son are accused of hiring assailants to eliminate the lawyer.
Police said Mahboob Alam Khan remains the prime suspect in the case.
Investigation officials are collecting information on the planning, financial transactions and the alleged contract killing angle during the custodial interrogation.
