Hyderabad: The All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, has launched a study to better understand acute surge of patients reporting with backache to the hospital’s out-patient department in the last few months.

The orthopaedic wing of AIIMS, Bibinagar, has said that to understand this problem better and explore whether the reported backache cases have any relationship with Covid-19 disease or Covid vaccines, the doctors have developed a survey and have requested patients and general public to participate.

“We have developed a questionnaire, which would take five to ten minutes to full. The response from the public would immensely contribute towards betterment of care in the near future,” Head, Orthopaedics, Dr Maheshwar Lakkireddy, Assistant Professor, Dr Ravi Kumar and Dr Sreedhar Sathu said.
