Hyderabad: Apollo Hospitals has launched ‘Cerament G’, an advanced bone regeneration and infection management solution developed by Bone Support AB. The injectable, antibiotic-eluting bone graft substitute is designed to tackle complex bone infections and diabetic foot complications.
The technology provides a synthetic alternative to traditional bone grafting, simultaneously promoting bone healing while controlling infections locally. For patients suffering from trauma or diabetic foot issues, this treatment promises to significantly reduce the risk of amputations, minimise repeat surgeries, and shorten hospital stays.
“For patients, this means not just faster healing, but the ability to retain mobility, independence, and dignity,” said Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals.
To mark the rollout, the hospital conducted specialised clinical training, including a cadaveric workshop and live surgery led by senior orthopedic surgeons. This initiative aims to improve long-term quality of life and mobility for patients facing severe orthopedic challenges.
