Hyderabad: On the occasion of International Nurses Day, Apollo Hospitals Group in collaboration with voluntary organisaton, Impact Guru Foundation, has launched an upskilling programme for nurses on Wednesday. Dubbed as ANGEL, Advance Nurses’ Growth Excellence and Learning, the course will aim to upskill 1 lakh nurses across India over the next few years with a commitment to invest up to Rs 50,000 per nurse via scholarships for advanced skills training, a press release said.
The first phase of the course will focus on Covid related clinical, public health and disaster management while the second phase will have comprehensive training and upskilling by training them on clinical practice, leadership training and research.
“Nurses are at the frontline of the battle against Covid and have made immense contribution in saving lives. Our endeavor is to express our sincere gratitude by participating in this up-skilling initiative for giving our nurses a brighter and an enriched future,” Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group.
Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint MD, Apollo Hospitals Group, Dr. T Dileep Kumar, president, Indian Nursing Council, Piyush Jain, founder, Impact Guru Foundation and Anant Maheshwari, president, Microsoft India were present in the virtual announcement of the course.
