Riyadh: Several Arab nations have strongly condemned Israel’s recent military attack on Iran, an action that has raised regional tensions and increased worries about a broader conflict between these longstanding rivals.
A statement from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep disapproval, calling the attack blatant aggression against Iran. The Kingdom emphasized that such actions not only violate international laws and norms but also threaten Iran’s sovereignty and security. Saudi officials urged the international community and the UN Security Council to act quickly to stop the escalation.
In a televised announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the operation was a targeted effort aimed at countering what he described as a dire threat posed by Iran. This move comes amid growing international concerns over Iran’s nuclear program and its implications for regional security.
The United Arab Emirates also voiced its strong opposition. Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the military strike, highlighting the risks that further escalation poses to regional peace and stability. The UAE stressed that disputes should be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue, and called on the UN Security Council to take immediate steps to secure a ceasefire and restore peace.
Similarly, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks, calling them a flagrant violation of international laws and a dangerous assault on Iranian sovereignty. Kuwait urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take responsibility for preventing further violence and ensuring regional stability.
Jordan was also vocal in its criticism. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a serious breach of international law and a violation of the United Nations Charter. Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah warned that such aggressive actions could lead to further instability in the region and called for urgent measures by the international community to prevent any additional escalation.
