Armed Reserve cops get more facilities in Rachakonda
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat inaugurated the canteen and separate courts for volleyball and women badminton here at the City Armed Reserve headquarters in Amberpet on Thursday.
Hyderabad: Aiming at providing more facilities to Armed Reserve police teams, Rachakonda Police have set up a canteen and sports facilities as well at the City Armed Reserve headquarters in Amberpet.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat inaugurated the canteen and separate courts for volleyball and women badminton here on Thursday.
Addressing the media later, Bhagwat said the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate was the largest one in the country covering a jurisdictional area of 5,091 Sq. Km covering half of the area of Medchal-Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts and the entire Yadadari-Bhongir district.
“The Armed Reserve police teams work tirelessly while providing services during escorts, bandobast duties, PSO duties and VIP programmes. They are the ones working as firstline responders during natural calamities,” Bhagwat said.
A dedicated Disaster Management Unit has also been established at CAR Amberpet and TATA Aerospace has provided boats as well, he added.
The Commissioner also assured that more welfare initiatives would be implemented in the future.
