Aster Prime Hospitals raise Rs 5.4 lakh through walk for a cause initiative

Hyderabad: The volunteers of Aster Prime Hospitals have raised Rs 5,40,000 collected through a walk for a cause initiative organised on the occasion of World Health Day, and donated the amount for taking-up heart surgeries for children, a press release said.
The volunteers from Aster Prime Hospitals participated in a 10-day long campaign that involved walking at least 10,000 steps in a day for which the Aster Prime Hospitals donated Rs. 100 towards heart surgeries for underprivileged students.
The volunteers managed to walk a total of 55, 76, 212 steps as part of the program and in the process managed to raise Rs 5,40,000 towards special fund set up to assist children requiring heart surgeries.
In a special programme organised on Wednesday, Aster Prime Hospital also felicitated the volunteers, who participated in the program. The CEO of Aster Prime Hospitals, KT Devanand said that the unique initiative was successful due to the large number of volunteers who participated in it. “This success will enable Aster Prime Hospital to undertake more number of such voluntary activities in future, he said. By organising more number of such programs, Aster Prime Hospitals will be in forefront to do service to the society along with providing quality healthcare, he added.
