Auto driver attacks former Nizamabad Mayor’s husband
Former Mayor of Nizamabad Municipality and BRS leader Dandu Neethu Kiran's husband, Dandu Chandrasekhar, was brutally attacked by an autorickshaw driver at a local corporator office in the town on Monday.
Nizamabad: Former Mayor of Nizamabad Municipality and BRS leader Dandu Neethu Kiran‘s husband, Dandu Chandrasekhar, was brutally attacked by an autorickshaw driver at a local corporator office in the town on Monday. Chandrasekhar sustained severe head injuries in the attack and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
According to the Nizamabad Fifth Town Circle Inspector, the autorickshaw driver, identified as Shaik Rasool, attacked Chandrasekhar following a dispute over land. A case was registered against Shaik Rasool, and an investigation is underway, the CI said.
Meanwhile, Shaik Rasool released a video in which he admitted that he attacked Chandrasekhar as the latter had encroached upon his land and was demanding Rs 2 lakh. He alleged that Chandrashekar’s follower Gopal was running a gang and encroaching upon peoples’ lands.
“My land has been encroached upon by the gang for the last three years. I have been requesting them to release my land, but they have been threatening me. Today, I met Chandrasekhar to request him to give back my land, but he and his followers insulted me. In a fit of rage, I attacked him. If I had not hit him, his men would have killed me,” he said.
He claimed that he was a supporter of the Congress party and urged the party leaders to support him and get him back his land. A video of an injured Chandrasekhar lying on the ground being helped by people to take him to hospital is going viral on various social media platforms.
