BC Commission writes to Nirmal Collector after villagers boycott family survey
On Saturday, BC Commission Chairman G. Niranjan spoke with Nirmal District Collector Abhilash Abhinav by phone to gather details on the issue. The BC Commission has also sent an official letter to the Collector regarding the matter.

Hyderabad: After residents of Gundampalli and Dilawarpur villages in Nirmal boycotted the caste census in protest against the establishment of an ethanol plant, the BC Commission asked the District Collector to contact the villagers and brief them about the survey benefits.
On Saturday, BC Commission Chairman G Niranjan spoke to Nirmal District Collector Abhilash Abhinav over phone and sought the details of issue. A letter has been written to the Collector on behalf of the BC Commission in this regard. The Collector was urged to contact the villagers and explain the benefits of the comprehensive survey to them and convince them not to obstruct it. It has been informed that the Collector was in contact with them and a comprehensive survey will be conducted, a press release from the Commission said.
