Karimnagar: Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar, Yadagiri Rao wanted the officials to be more responsible and provide better services to the people of the town.
The Commissioner on Friday inspected various sections in the MCK office and gave advice to the staff working in sections. He visited pattana prakruthi vanam, and nurseries developed as part of Haritha Haram programme. He also examined saplings planted in Miyawaki forest in Frozen semen bull station, Padmanagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadagiri Rao said MCK staff should attend the office on time and provide better services to people visiting the office for different works. He advised the staff to discharge their duties without giving any scope for corruption.
Service should be provided to people on fast track mode by clearing files on a regular basis. He instructed officials to take steps to protect saplings planted in pattana prakruthi vanam and avenue plantations developed in divisions. There was no need to supply water to saplings in the present rainy season. It was necessary to supply water every day during the winter and summer seasons.
He wanted the MCK officials to make the town a green city by protecting saplings developed in nurseries. He sought cooperation from the people to improve sanitation. Advising shop owners to use dustbins and hand them over to sanitation workers, the commissioner warned to impose fines on shop owners if anybody dumps garbage in front of shops or on roads.
Superintendent Engineer Krishna Rao, EE Raman, Haritha Haram in-charge Narender and others were present. Later, he participated in training on GEO Trgging of Septic Tanks and Manholes held in the corporation office. The issues of 100 percent tax collection, GEO tagging, self-assessment and mutation were discussed extensively.
