Bhupalpally water contamination: Attempt to murder case booked against science teacher Rajender

Bhupalpally: A science teacher, Pendyla Rajender, who was accused of contaminating water at Subhash Chandra Bose Urban Residential School in Bhupalpally, was terminated from service and booked in an attempt to murder case, district Collector Rahul Sharma said.
Bhupalpally mandal education officer Ajmeera Deva filed a complaint against Rajender at Bhupalpally police station in connection with the incident that took place at the school on August 21 midnight. The teacher allegedly contaminated drinking water by mixing some tonic in the RO plant tank.
Rajender committed the harmful act targeting students due to differences with the school special officer, Venkata Naraiah. Due to the contamination, 11 students fell ill and were admitted to the Government Main Hospital, Bhupalpally.
Police registered a case of attempt to murder under crime number 467/2025 under Section 109 of BNS. In addition, two other teachers, H Surya Kiran and B Venu, along with assistant cook Ch Rajeshwari, who allegedly threatened and beat students, were also terminated from service.
In connection with food poisoning incidents at KGBV, Korikishala in the district on August 4, 21 and 22, the institute special officer, B Shailaja, and PET, U Shravani, were also terminated, the Collector added.
