Bisleri workers launch protest after managements dismisses six employees
The strike by workers at Bisleri International Private Limited in Pashamylaram entered its fifth day on Monday. CITU leaders alleged labour law violations, opposed employee dismissals and transfers, and demanded minimum wages for contract workers as per government norms

Sangareddy: The strike launched by workers of Bisleri International Private Limited, Pashamylaram, reached its fifth day on Monday. The workers accused the management of dismissing some employees and transferring a few others to distant locations after they established a trade union in accordance with labour laws.
CITU leader Athimela Manik said that the management had dismissed six employees in violation of labour laws after they established the union and demanded payment of salaries as per labour laws. Since Bisleri is an international company, he said that the management must follow the International Labour Organisation (ILO) guidelines while taking any decision against its employees.
He said that they would continue to protest until the employees get justice. The trade union leader also asked the management to pay minimum wages to contract employees in accordance with GO No. 8.
