Hyderabad: BRS leaders launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy after the Telangana High Court ordered re-evaluation or re-examination of the Group-1 Mains exam. The party leaders demanded a CBI probe into the irregularities.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy accused the Chief Minister of turning the recruitment process into a scam by selling Group-1 posts through the Chief Minister’s Office. “During KCR’s tenure, exams were cancelled immediately after allegations of irregularities. Why didn’t Revanth Reddy act on Group-1 Mains despite clear irregularities?” he asked.

Demanding a CBI probe into the incident, he accused the BJP of colluding with Congress by staying silent on the issue. He reminded that the BJP demanded a CBI probe during the BRS’ tenure when the exams were cancelled. He stated that the government registered SC/ST Atrocities cases against him for raising the issue in support of the Group-1 aspirants and asked who would take responsibility for the irregularities.

BRS leader A Rakesh Reddy said the verdict was a victory for candidates and the party. He rejected revaluation, insisting only a fresh exam could ensure fairness. “Group-1 jobs were sold like vegetables in the market. If fake officers enter the system, society itself will be corrupted,” he charged, demanding sedition cases against Congress leaders.
