Khammam: BRS district president MLC Tata Madhusudhan alleged that Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy held a teleconference with the employees’ union leaders and reviewed the ward-wise votes ahead of the municipal elections.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, along with MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former MLAs Kandala Upender Reddy and Banoth Chandravathi, he revealed an audio recording of the Minister’s conversation with union leaders. A complaint with the District Collector and the Election Commission against the officials who were taking government salaries and becoming Congress agents would be lodged. Such officials should be removed from election duties immediately, Madhusudhan said.
With reference to the threatening statements made by Srinivas Reddy at Edulapuram on Monday, he complained that the Minister, who took an oath on the Constitution, was threatening the opposition leaders as well as voters publicly. The three Ministers in the district, unable to talk about the development they have achieved, were terrorising the public using police and revenue machinery due to fear of defeat. It was ridiculous that Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao, who worked in K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Cabinet in the past, was now saying that all the systems were destroyed during the BRS rule, he said.
Madhusudhan alleged that apart from cutting the ribbons for the JNTU Engineering College and Nursing Colleges established by former MLA Upender Reddy in Palair, the Ministers had done nothing new for the district. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka promised to make Madhira a ‘mini Singapore,’ but nothing was done at the ground level.
The BRS leaders appealed to voters to notice the difference between the development under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership and the current anarchic rule of Congress, as well as the irregularities being committed by the ruling party leaders. They hoped that the BRS would achieve a resounding victory in the district with the support of the CPM.
BRS leaders Sheikh Maqbul, Mohammed Tajuddin, Bellam Venugopal, Muthala Venkatappa Rao, Balusu Muralikrishna, Banka Mallaiah, Pagadala Narender, Mohammed Rafi and others were present.
