Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan accused Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy of misusing his office to further private real estate interests, with a growing number of land dispute victims of the Minister approaching BRS party office. He ridiculed the Revenue Minister’s claims over the land dispute, and criticised him for spreading false narratives.
Detailing a case involving Satish Shah and Pallavi Shah at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Sravan said the family owns 27 acres across Survey Nos. 169, 244 and 245 at Vattinagulapally in Ranga Reddy district. Multiple surveys between 2018 and 2021, along with HMDA compensation, had established clear ownership without dispute, he noted.
“The issue began only after the Minister’s son Harsha Reddy entered into a development agreement with a neighbouring landowner,” he said.
Sravan stated that attempts were made to pressure the family into parting with land. While the developers initially sought an access road, they later wanted to purchase larger extents.
In October 2025, an alleged forced survey was conducted, with Pallavi Shah coerced into signing documents. However, the Shah family approached the High Court, which struck down the survey report.
Despite this, Sravan alleged that the situation escalated with the demolition of a boundary wall, threats, and use of bulldozers on the land. He said even after FIRs and court injunctions, enforcement remained weak due to the Minister’s pressure on the police and revenue authorities.
“Citing GO 111, the officials objected to construction of a Goshala and compound wall which were demolished by bouncers deployed by the Minister’s henchmen. In such a case, how could they allow the developers to construct high-rise buildings in the same land,” he questioned.
Speaking on the occasion, Satish Shah accused the Revenue Minister of altering land records and attempting to encroach upon seven acres of his property. “We will continue our legal fight until justice is done,” he said.
