Hyderabad: Mir Qurram Ali, Greater Hyderabad Coordinator, BRSV, demanded the reinstatement of semester-based supplementary examinations for ITI students to address the concerns of Polytechnic students across Telangana.
In an appeal, Qurram highlighted the plight of students enrolled under the C18 and C21 regulations and noted that despite the clear provisions established in December 2022 for conducting supplementary exams on a semester basis, the board has shifted its policy to a yearly format starting in 2023. This change has left numerous students facing significant academic backlogs, hindering their ability to advance in their careers.
“The transition to annual supplementary exams is detrimental,” Qurram said adding, “Students are losing valuable time and opportunities due to delays in clearing backlogs. The previous system, which allowed for semester-based examinations, provided a fair chance for students to recover and succeed.”
