Hyderabad: With more than 850 new high-rise projects underway, Hyderabad’s rapid vertical expansion took centre stage at FESA 2025, the national seminar on fire, electrical, security and automation systems for tall buildings hosted by the Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI).
Senior government officials, developers, consultants and technology leaders focused on strengthening life-safety standards for the city’s growing high-rise ecosystem. A key highlight was the emphasis on FSAI’s Suraksha Index, projected as an essential safety certification for upcoming tall buildings.
Telangana Fire and Disaster Response DG Vikram Singh Mann stressed the need for uncompromised compliance with fire and life-safety norms as Hyderabad’s skyline continues to rise. Technical sessions covered fire-fighting design, electrical safety, plumbing systems, and the challenges of constructing and maintaining tall buildings, advanced protection systems, building automation and security technologies.
FSAI National president V Srinivas said the seminar aimed to help align stakeholders on safety codes, competency building and modern technologies required for resilient high-rise infrastructure.
