Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed grief over the demise of renowned Telugu film lyricist and Padmasri awardee Chambolu (Sirivennela) Seetharama Sastry. He said Seetharama Sastry had won the hearts of both scholars and general public through his literature which blended with any musical form.
He remembered that Seetharama Sastry turned his debut film’s title into his surname and embarked on a literary journey that stretched for over three-and-half decades. “The demise of Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry is a great loss to the Telugu film industry as well as music and literature fans,” he said and extended his condolences to the family members of the lyricist.
