Sangareddy: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sought people’s support for developing the country into a ‘Bangaru Bharat’ (Golden India) on the lines of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ which developed siginificantly beyond the expectations. He stated that Telangana will play a vital role in the national politics and ensure that India develops beyond US and other countries as well as become a role model for others in terms of development.
After laying foundation for the Sangameshwara and Basaweshwara Lift Irrigation Projects at Narayankhed on Monday, Chandrashekhar Rao said Telangana has come a long way since its creation. He said Telangana surpassed its sister State of Andhra Pradesh in terms of development and was making new strides at the national level. “Telangana is on the right track of development. But after 75 years of independence, the country has not progressed as it should have been. Hence, we must also strive for development of this country such that the State makes a better progress,” he said.
The Chief Minister stated that divisive and communal politics were being promoted in the country which should not be allowed under any circumstances. Instead, he suggested that the focus should be on development and employment to facilitate establishment of industries and creation of employment opportunities for the youth. “We cannot have development without maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and proper maintenance of law and order. It is time that people discuss about this issue among themselves and come to a conclusion. Let us all progress without any discrimination of caste, religion or community,” he said.
Historic day for Sangareddy district: Harish Rao
Narayankhed: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said Monday was a historic day for Sangareddy district since Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao laid the foundation stone for Sangameshwara (SLIP)and Basaveshwara Lift Irrigation Projects (BLIP) near Narayankhed town.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Harish Rao said Congress and Telugu Desam Party governments had completely ignored the development of backward Narayankhed, Zaheerabad and Andole Constituencies during their rule in undivided Andhra Pradesh. While many even used to refuse to give brides from backward Borancha villages in Narayankhed area and people used to reluctantly sell their cattle to Haddanur people since the areas were having serious water issues back then, Harish Rao said the Chief Minister had changed the trend by launching Mission Bagiratha scheme.
The Minister said that SLIP and BLIP will provide irrigation water to every nook and corner of these constituencies now which will change the lives of people here. Saying that a woman sarpanch Chimni Bhai, a resident of Sardar Thanda in Kangti mandal, had complained to him in 2016 when families declined alliance for her son, Harish Rao said SLIP and BLIP will make such issues a thing of the past. While Manjeera water used to confluence with river Godavari downstream Nizam Sagar, the Minister said that the visionary Chief Minister reversed hit by lifting the water from 90 meters at Medigadda from seal level to over 650 meters. Stating that the area will become prosperous wherever the Chief Minister touches the soil with his feet, Rao appealed the Chief Minister to grant funds to eight municipalities and 699 grama panchayat besides releasing funds for developing roads in remote thandas and panchayats.
