Congress leaders, workers join BRS in Nalgonda ahead of local body polls

Nalgonda: Ahead of the upcoming polls to the local bodies, a host of Congress party leaders and workers from different mandals in Nalgonda district joined the BRS on Friday, citing the government’s failure to fulfil election promises.
The event was held at Tirumalagiri village of Pippala mandal and later at G Beemanapalli village of Gudipalli mandal. BRS Nalgonda district president and former MLA from Devarakonda Ravinder Kumar welcomed the new members by offering them pink scarves and expressed confidence that BRS would reclaim power in the next Assembly elections. “The Congress government has utterly failed to implement the promises made to the people during the elections,” Kumar stated, addressing the gathering. He emphasized that under BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana witnessed implementation of welfare schemes that have become models for the entire nation.
Highlighting BRS’s 25-year legacy, Kumar reassured every new worker that the party leadership would stands as a pillar of support for their families. “BRS provides unwavering backing to the families of every activist. For those who obtain active membership and pass away, we offer Rs 2 lakhs to their kin,” he said. He also noted that BRS holds the top position in the state for membership enrollments, reflecting strong grassroots loyalty.
Kumar lauded K Chandrashekhar Rao’s vision for rural and urban development, crediting the previous BRS regime for reshaping villages and towns.
