Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) has decided to assess intermediate students in the Ethics and Human Values, and Environmental Education papers through assignments.
As per the time-table issued by the Board, the Ethics and Human Values examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 1 while the Environmental Education exam on April 3. Students will be given certain questions for which they have to make assignments and submit the same in a week or 10 days.
“This time, Ethics and Human Values examination, and Environmental Education examination will have assignments,” TS BIE secretary Syed Omer Jaleel told Telangana Today.
As per the rule, both examinations are qualifying in nature in the intermediate public examinations. According to the time-table, the practical examinations for intermediate students are scheduled to be held from April 7 to 20 in two sessions from 9 am to 12 noon, and 2 pm to 5 pm.
With the State government announcing the temporary closure of educational institutions including government and private from March 24 in view of the surge in the Covid-19 cases, the Board has made contingency plans for the practical examinations.
“Once the State government approves the contingency plans for the practical examinations, we will inform the same,” a senior official said.
Meanwhile, the Board is making elaborate arrangements for conducting the Intermediate Public Examinations starting from May 1 and hall-tickets for the same will be issued in two to three days. According to authorities, so far, there were no plans to pass all students without holding the intermediate public examinations.
