Students of classes III and IV of Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated Diwali with pomp and grandeur. The building had a cheerful look with diyas decorated all over the place. Students wore traditional dresses that brought a festive fervour in school. Students showcased their talents by participating in the assembly and reiterating the importance of Diwali through skits and role-play. The subthemes were welcoming goddess of wealth, Lakshmi through an aarti.
Along with these activities, students depicted the story of Lord Rama and Sita. Students learnt amazing and unknown facts regarding the festival of lights. The celebration continued with dance by students and also the replication of the safety norms to be followed while bursting crackers. The assembly was a feast to eyes.
Students brought in fiesta in their classes by decorating diyas as an activity that unleashed their creativity. DPS Nacharam is always at the forefront to encourage students to follow traditions along with upgradation of skills required to the latest trends, the school said.
