DOST 2026 second-phase seat allotment released; 52,302 students get seats
The DOST 2026 second-phase seat allotment results have been announced, with 52,302 students securing provisional admissions. Commerce remained the most preferred stream, while candidates have been asked to complete online self-reporting before participating in the next admission phase.

Hyderabad: The Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) 2026 second-phase seat allotment was released on Saturday, with 52,302 students receiving provisional seats.
A total of 46,504 new candidates registered in the second-phase counselling. As many as 60,439 candidates, including candidates from the first phase, exercised their web options. Of the total, 52,302 students, including 7,737 who opted for a better choice, received seat allotment.
Of the total who received seat allotment, 31,445 students got seats against their first priority, and 20,857 against their second and other priorities. A staggering 8,137 students could not be allotted a seat as they exercised a limited number of web options.
At 21,431 seats allotted, commerce continues to be top choice for students. It is followed by physical science stream, in which 15,245 seats have been allotted. Similarly, 9,664 seats in life sciences, 5,955 seats in arts and seven in other degree courses have also been allocated.
All candidates who have secured a seat are required to reserve their seat through online self-reporting between May 31 and June 5 by paying Rs 500 or Rs 1,000, depending on the case, via the DOST candidate login.
Candidates allotted to government degree colleges/university colleges who are provisionally eligible for ePASS fee reimbursement (subject to verification of caste and income certificates) are not required to pay any amount for seat reservation during online self-reporting.
Further, candidates have to forgo their seat if he/she fails to reserve their provisionally allotted seat through online self-reporting and their registration on DOST will also be cancelled. If any candidate is looking for a better choice of seat, he/she can exercise web-options in the next phase by sliding, but after online self-reporting.
The third phase registration and web options are open from May 31 to June 16, and seat allotment is scheduled for June 20. Students have been advised to report at the respective colleges after third phase allotments. Failure to report at the college between June 20 and 27 will result in the forfeiture of the allotted or self-reported seat.
