Drug inspector from Telangana udnergoes training on GMP at Netherlands

Eleven officers, including Siva Chaitanya, from across the country attended the training programme which covered advanced GMP topics

Hyderabad: Drugs Inspector from Telangana State Drugs Control Administration (TSDCA), Ch Karthik Siva Chaitanya, has successfully completed advanced training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of Biopharmaceuticals, a programme offered by Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport (VWS), Government of Netherlands, at Biotech Training Facility, Leiden Bioscience Park, Netherlands.

Eleven officers, including Siva Chaitanya, from across the country attended the training programme which covered advanced GMP topics, including root cause analysis, critical aspects of production, upstream and downstream processing, conceptual design to a qualified facility, etc, a press release said.

The training provided insights into global GMP standards and their application in the biopharmaceutical sector, which will be instrumental in strengthening regulatory oversight.
