Hyderabad: Over the past few years, the popularity of makeup among Indian women has risen exponentially. With more and more emphasis being placed on appearance, cosmetologist Harshitha Karthik decided to offer her services to women looking for a permanent solution to makeup.
Touring different countries such as Thailand, UAE and USA and getting certifications from acclaimed, well-renowned institutions, she launched her own clinic in Hyderabad.
“I have worked as a bridal makeup artiste in the start to understand how the beauty industry works. Later, I moved abroad to pursue my studies in cosmetology,” says Harshitha Karthik who runs her own clinic in Kukatpally.
At the outset, there were very few clinics doing significantly transforming work in this field. In less than a year, Hk permanent makeup studio made record breaking progress and already has a great clientele base to its credit.
“It’s not that easy to run a clinic, I have struggled really hard to start something on my own, I should thank my husband who supported me and made me follow my passion. I started my clinic in my home’s balcony. We turned our balcony into a small clinic with one bed. Today we have the whole floor for the clinic. It took me months together to make people understand our services, and how cosmetology helps in permanent makeup,” says Harshitha, who employs 20 people at her clinic. She has also worked with YouTube stars like Deepthi Sunaina, Savitri (Jyotakka) , Siri Hanmanth, Anchor Lasya , Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Actor Ali , Himaja , Rohini among others.
In addition, Harshitha has been a recipient of several awards like International Inspirational Woman Achiever 2021 award, Bangkok Beautorium award , Dubai Excellence Award in paramedical camouflaging, Woman Achiever Award 2020 , Telugu Business Icon Under 30 – 2021, Esthetician and Cosmetologist Category.
She has also launched her product line to a tremendous response.
