Mulugu: Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy directed the officials of the Endowments Department to prepare proposals for constructing suites and dormitories with amenities like canteen at Medaram in the district at an expenditure of Rs 10 crore to provide permanent facilities at the tribal shrine for the pilgrims. He along with Minister Satyavathi Rathod and officials inspected the arrangements being made for the biennial Medaram Sammakka-Sarakka jatara.
Speaking at the review meeting after the inspection, he directed the officials to expedite the works and complete them by January 15. “Authorities must ensure that devotees adhere to the Covid-19 rules to prevent the spread of Covid with its new variant Omicron,” he added.
Earlier, the Ministers paid a visit to the shrine. MLA Dansari Anasuya, Endowments Commissioner Anil Kumar, District Collector Krishna Aditya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sangram Singh Patil, and others attended the meeting.
