Four held for two-wheeler thefts in Hyderabad, 10 vehicles recovered
Hyderabad police arrested four persons involved in multiple automobile thefts and recovered 10 stolen two-wheelers. The accused were tracked through social media monitoring and surveillance before being apprehended by the Special Crime Team in Attapur and MM Pahadi

Hyderabad: Acting on credible information, the Special Crime Team, CCS, DD Hyderabad apprehended four persons who were involved in automobile thefts.
The apprehended persons were identified as Mohammed Riyaz (18), unemployed and a resident of Attapur; Syed Ahmed Ali (18), a helper in a sofa-making godown and a resident of Attapur; Mohammed Fardeen (18), working as a cook and a resident of MM Pahadi; and Mohd Bin Esa (17), working as an AC technician and a resident of Bahadurpura. Ten two-wheeler vehicles, including one Hero Glamour and eight Honda Dio, were recovered from them.
The police, in a statement, said the crime team collected intelligence about the suspects through an informant and monitored their activities and whereabouts by observing their posts on Instagram. After continuous surveillance of their movements and locations, they were traced and apprehended at M.M Pahadi and Attapur.
Upon enquiry, the suspects confessed to committing ten automobile thefts within the limits of Balanagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kollur and Attapur police stations. The apprehension was made by Ch Sudhakar Rao, Inspector of Police, Special Crime Team, along with his staff.
