Four students injured as auto-rickshaw overturns in Mancherial
Four students were injured when an overcrowded school auto-rickshaw carrying 23 children overturned at a curve near Narwa village in Mancherial district. The injured are stable. Parents urged officials to enforce safety checks to prevent such accidents.
Mancherial: Four students sustained injuries when a school auto-rickshaw carrying 23 pupils overturned at Narwa village in Jaipur mandal on Friday.
Police said that the students from a private school in Srirampur village in Naspur mandal received minor injuries when the auto-rickshaw turned turtle at a curve near the village. They were immediately shifted to a government school in Mancherial. Their medical condition was learnt to be stable.
Parents expressed concern over the safety of their wards travelling in the vehicle. They urged officials concerned to carry out inspections to ensure the schools follow road safety norms and to prevent road accidents.
