Fresh land grab charge against Eatala’s son
Peetla Mahesh of Ravalkole village in Medchal mandal of Medchal Malkajgiri district writes to KCR accusing the ex-Minister's son of encroaching about 10.11 acres land
Hyderabad: Fresh allegations have been levelled against Eatala Nithin Reddy, son of former Minister Eatala Rajender, over encroachment of about 10.11 acres land in Ravalkole village in Medchal mandal of Medchal Malkajgiri district. Peetla Mahesh, a resident of the village, wrote to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao explaining his ordeal and sought justice.
In his two page letter to the Chief Minister, Mahesh explained that his grandfather Peetla Narsimha owned about 10.11 acres land in Ravalkole village. The same was mentioned in the Khasra Pahani since 1956 and thereafter, the Adangal Pahani till 1986. He pointed out that the Revenue Department in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh had also issued a 38 (e) certificate naming Narsimha as the protected tenant of the land under the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act 1975-76.
“But since 1986, the land was illegally shifted to the Pahanis of ‘Satyam’ Ramalinga Raju and others. Though I raised objections and took up the issue with the then revenue authorities, none came to my help. Ramalinga Raju and others created fake documents declaring the land as Inam land given to them. They even beat me up for questioning them and destroyed my documents,” he said.
Further, Mahesh said it took him about six years to gather all the documents from the Revenue Department to prove the land ownership of his grandfather, only to discover that the land was now under the possession of Nithin Reddy and another Sada Keshava Reddy. He alleged that they pressured the officials and fraudulently obtained pattadar passbooks. He stated that though he took up the issue with Rajender and requested him to return the property, the latter warned him and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not give up the land.
“We have the 38 (e) certificate, the name is mentioned in the Pahani records between 1954 and 1986, and were in possession of the land as per the Urban Land Act and the Tenancy Act. Hence, we request the Chief Minister to do justice to us and restore the land to us,” he pleaded.
