Gangs selling stolen cars with tampered engines arrested in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Miryalaguda rural police on Wednesday arrested members of two gangs, who were selling the stolen vehicles by tampering their chasis and engine numbers and seized 20 cars worth Rs 6 crore from their possession. The arrested members of the first gang were Sripathi Narsimha of Allapur in Medak district, Kodimalla Paripurna Chary of Hasthinapuram in Hyderabad and Ramavath Siri, of Kakkirala village in Nalgonda district.
The second gang members were Ali Khan of Hyderabad, Md Shakeel and Md Shafilla of Bellampally in Manchiryal district. Another four accused persons Boppa Gosh, Khaleel Khan, Amzad Husein and Shailesh Singh were absconding. The racket came light when Miryalaguda rural police began investigating a complaint by Veeraswamy that Sri Naik and Paripurna Chary sold two cars with West Bengal registration, but were refusing to hand over the No Objection Certificate (NOC). As per the agreement, the sellers should give the NOCs to Veeraswamy But police found that two sold cars were stolen from New Delhi.
According to the SP, police arrested Sri Naik and Paripurna Chary and investigated into the case. The arrested confessed that they purchased the cars from a person Boppa Gosh of West Bengal. Based on the information provided by the arrested persons, police arrested the gang members, which were selling the stolen cars with tampered engine and chasis numbers. Among 20 seized cars, 16 cars were found stolen in Gurgram.
