Gitanjali Vedika: Fun, learning and a show of talent at Foundation Day fete

Gitanjali Vedika’s second Foundation Day celebrated earlier this was was a proud day for the school staff, students and parents. The event was conducted online due to guidelines in place to control Covid 19 spread. School principal Sonia’s message on the occasion left everyone inspired.
Later students of class VII took a trip down memory lane with different activities that were done by them. World Health Day, Fancy Dress Competition, art, drama, and several academic activities were taken up last year where students gave their all and learnt new skills. The audience enjoyed a graceful dance performance by the girls of class VII.
The Gitanjali Vedika calendar prepared by students showcased all the budding artists of the school. Coffee with Gita Karan, the founder and director of the school was the most awaited segment of the day where Karan spent time with the students to answer their curious questions. She spoke about her childhood, the start of her career and who she was today.
Her witty answers were both engaging and inspiring. What made the Second Foundation Day all the more special was the unveiling of the School Anthem. The upbeat song with its inspiring lyrics had everyone at the edge of their seats feeling pumped and ready for the academic year.
