Govt school HM in ACB net, third ACB raid within a fortnight in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: The headmaster of Government High School, Coolie Line in Kothagudem town was caught red-handed by ACB officials on Friday.
According to Khammam range ACB DSP, Y Ramesh the Central government has introduced a scheme to impart karate training for the self-defense of students. Training classes would be conducted for 72 days.
For the training the government would provide Rs 30,000 to the karate instructor to conduct 72 classes for a period of three months. The headmaster T Ravinder demanded Rs 20, 000 as a bribe from the instructor to give the latter his wage.
The instructor, who does not want to pay the bribe, approached the ACB officials, who laid a trap and caught the headmaster while he was taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the instructor at the school.
The tainted money was seized; the accused would be arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal, said the DSP Ramesh. This was the third ACB raid within a fortnight and the fifth one this year in the district.
It might be recalled that ACB sleuths have trapped two forest officers and caught them red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30, 000 from a contractor at Komararam in Yellandu mandal in the district on February 18.
Similarly, the ACB officials have caught Aswapuram mandal agricultural officer Sai Shantan Kumar red-handed while he was receiving a bribe of Rs 30, 000 from a farmer on February 20. According to officials as many as 14 ACB raids took place in the past 14 months in erstwhile Khammam district
