Karimnagar: Finance Minister T Harish Rao promised to provide pot making electrical instruments to Kummara (Shalivahana) community people across the State.
About 100 pot making electrical instruments would be given in Huzurabad alone, and allocations would be made in the next budget for this purpose, he said, and assured that an MLC post would be given to Kummara community leader in the coming days.
Harish Rao along with Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar participated in Kummara Ashirvada sabha held in Jammikunta on Sunday. On the occasion, the Minister manufactured pots on the dais.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister assured to take the responsibility to issue Prajapathi GO for the welfare of Kummara community people.
The life of every human being was linked with the Kummara community and there was no existence of human beings without community.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has provided number rights to community people, he said and emphasised the need to bring more changes in the lives of Kummaras.
Besides an acre of land, Rs 50 lakh amount was also sanctioned for the construction of Kummara community hall, he informed and added to install Shalivahana statue soon.
The BJP government at the Centre was benefiting corporate companies by bringing anti-farm laws and selling LIC, Railways and other public sector undertakings. While TRS was taking steps to protect caste occupations, the BJP government was making people labourers, the Minister said.
Telangana government was implementing a number of welfare and developmental programmes for the upliftment of the people. However, the central government was trying to impose a burden on common people by increasing the prices of diesel, petrol, and cooking gas.
Subsidy on cooking gas has also been reduced to Rs 40 from 250. So, people should decide which party they should support.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated the writer Molla statue in Huzurabad town.
