Hyderabad: Beef allegedly mixed with goat meat, case booked after H-FAST team raid
The Hyderabad police's H-FAST team and Habeebnagar police seized around 50 kg of suspected adulterated meat from a Mallepally meat shop. Samples have been sent for laboratory analysis, while a case has been registered against the shop owner for alleged food adulteration.

Hyderabad: The H-FAST team of the Hyderabad police raided a meat shop at Habeebnagar and seized around 50 kg of adulterated meat during a surprise inspection conducted along with local police on Wednesday.
The raid was carried out at Osman Meat Shop, located near Badi Masjid in Mallepally following specific information that adulterated meat was being sold to customers.
During the inspection, officials found that meat being sold as goat meat was allegedly mixed with beef. The entire stock was seized, and samples were collected and sent for laboratory analysis to confirm the nature of the meat.
Based on the preliminary findings, the Habeebnagar police registered a case against the shop owner, Osman Qureshi.
The police are probing how long the alleged adulteration had been taking place and whether others were involved in the operation.
