Hyderabad: A major burglary was reported in Attapur, after unidentified burglars decamped with cash and gold ornaments from a trader’s house during the Ramzan festivities in Jalal Baba Nagar.
According to police, the burglars broke open the house locks and entered the premises in the owner’s absence.
They ransacked the bedroom and broke open an almirah, stealing around Rs 20 lakh in cash, gold jewellery and silver articles.
The house owner, Mohd Firoz, had reportedly locked the house and gone to a relative’s place to celebrate Ramzan when the incident occurred.
