Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime Unit refunded a total amount of Rs 9.5 lakh belonging to a businessman from the city who was duped by cyber fraudsters in a business fraud.

The 32-year-old victim was cheated by the fraudsters who promised him good returns on investments in their businesses, but failed and went absconding.

Based on a complaint, the Cybercrime Police booked a case and nabbed the suspects in the case from New Delhi. With the support of the court, the siphoned money was returned to the victim through Demand Draft.

Victims of cyber frauds can report immediately on the helpline number 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.
