Hyderabad: Completing a year’s training at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA), 62 Assistant Commandants of CISF participated in the passing out parade on October 29. Nina Singh, ADG, CISF, was the chief guest at the event. Jagbir Singh, IG, CISF and Director, NISA and Amit Sharan, Deputy Director NISA attended the parade and complimented the trainees.
The parade was commanded by Allen Sebastian, Assistant Commandant. The overall best trophy was awarded to Mayank Singh, Assistant Commandant, while Vishwa Raj Bhushan, Assistant Commandant and Kamal Antil, Assistant Commandant, bagged the Best in Firing and Best in Outdoors trophies, respectively.
The ADG complimented the officer trainees for the beautiful parade and said, “Considering the prevailing security scenario in our country, herein anti-national and nefarious elements are trying to create an environment of instability, the brief of CISF becomes more critical. I am sure that our officers will rise to the occasion and dawn leadership roles to serve the nation.”
Out of the 62 Assistant Commandants who passed out on Friday, 34 officers hold B.Tech degree and 13 hold B.E degree. A total of five officers have completed post graduation, one has finished MBA and nine officers are bachelor’s degree holders. Three female officers also graduated from NISA on Friday.
At NISA, these officer trainees were imparted extensive indoor and outdoor training. They are taught everything from industrial security management, law, information technology, and forensic science, to how to use the INSAS rifle, LMG, AK-47 rifle, glock pistol and grenades. All the 62 AC were also taught rock climbing and horse riding at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, and attended classes for survival tactics and jungle camp at GreyHounds, Telangana Police, Hyderabad.
Another major highlight of this batch is the certification in ‘Advance Post Graduation Diploma in Industrial Security, Law and Management’ from the reputed NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
