SVPNPA to host passing-out parade for 77th RR batch on Friday
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad will host the Dikshant Parade for the 77th RR batch this Friday, with BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary as Chief Guest. The batch includes 174 IPS officers and 16 foreign trainees, with 36 per cent representation by women.

Hyderabad: The Dikshant Parade of the 77th RR batch will be held on Friday at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). Daljit Singh Chaudhary, Director General, Border Security Force will be the Chief Guest at the passing-out parade.
The 77 RR (Regular Recruits) batch comprises 190 officer trainees, who include 174 Indian Police Service officers and 16 foreign officers from Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. Of them 65 officers are women who constitute 36 per cent of the total trainee officers.
Two trainee officers Abhijeet Pandey and S Deepthi Chowhan, both natives of Telangana will be among the 174 trainee officers completing their first phase basic training course. They are allocated to Manipur and Uttar Pradesh cadres respectively.
Four officers allocated to Telangana cadre are – Ayasha Fatima of Madhya Pradesh, Mandhare Soham Sunil of Maharashtra, Manisha Nehra of Rajasthan and Rahul Kant of Jharkhand.
Among the 174 IPS trainee officers, a notable 50 per cent come from engineering background, followed by 20 per cent science background, 17 per cent arts background, five per cent MBBS, three per cent law, and five per cent commerce background. Fifty one per cent of the IPS trainee officers have previous work experience.
Of the total 174 trainee officers 21 are below the age of 25 years, while 87 are aged between 25 and 28 years, and the remaining are aged above 28 years.
The IPS Association’s Sword of Honour for the Best Outdoor Probationer will be given to Kirti Yadav and she will also be awarded the Director SVP NPA Trophy for Best Lady Probationer in Outdoor Training. The Tonk Cup for Equitation is awarded to Mandhare Soham Sunil.
