Hyderabad: Three pedestrians were injured when the driver of a police vehicle, allegedly in an inebriated condition, crashed the vehicle into them at Kalapather on Monday.
According to the police, the driver Srinivas, who is attached to the South Zone Police Control Room was under influence of alcohol when he took the vehicle to Kalapather in the evening. He was accompanied by a friend of his. When the vehicle reached Tadban crossroads, the driver reportedly lost control and hit three pedestrians. A large crowd immediately gathered and stopped the vehicle.
The Kalapather police reached the spot and took the driver into custody. A case was booked.
