Hyderabad: Four of the eight people who were washed away in Alinagar Colony at Mailardevpally on Tuesday night have now been confirmed dead with two more bodies being retrieved from the nala at Falaknuma early on Thursday.

The bodies of Amina (8) and Humera (5) were found on Thursday by rescue teams at the Al Jubail colony nala in Falaknuma. On Wednesday, the police had retrieved bodies of two women of a family washed away during the heavy rains. The four persons who were yet to be traced are the male members of the family.

The family was standing near the balcony of their house, watching the surging waters around midnight, when it suddenly collapsed, throwing all of them into the water, police said, adding that efforts were on to trace the missing persons.
