Hyderabad: Jewellery store looted in Hayathnagar
According to the police, thieves opened the shutter of Mathaji Jewellers and Pawnbrokers using hand tools and gained entry into the store before escaping with ornaments post-midnight
Hyderabad: Burglars broke into a jewellery and pawn shop at Munaganoor village in Hayathnagar mandal on the city outskirts and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth several lakhs in the early hours of Saturday.
According to the police, thieves opened the shutter of Mathaji Jewellers and Pawnbrokers using hand tools and gained entry into the store before escaping with ornaments post-midnight. The store staff who came on Saturday morning found the shop burgled and informed the Hayathnagar police, who have booked a case and are investigating.
“Though the owner does not suspect anyone, we are investigating from all possible angles including the role of an insider in the case,” officials said.
