Hyderabad: Miyapur man’s organs give new life to patients under Jeevandan
The family of 37-year-old Krishna Sumanth from Miyapur, declared brain dead after a road accident, donated his organs under the Jeevandan programme. Seven organs, including kidneys, liver, lungs, corneas and heart, were retrieved and allocated to needy patients

Hyderabad: The family of 37-year-old Krishna Sumanth Bhuvanagiri, a private employee and a resident of Miyapur, who was declared brain dead by doctors, has donated his organs to needy patients under the State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.
On August 18, while returning home from work, Krishna Sumanth fell from his two-wheeler and sustained severe injuries. He was shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
With his health condition not improving, the doctors declared Krishna Sumanth as brain dead on August 20, 2025, and his father, B Narender, gave consent to donate his organs.
Seven organs, including kidneys, liver, corneas, lung and heart, were retrieved and allocated to needy patients.
Jeevandan officials extended their gratitude to the family members of Krishna Sumanth for making the decision to donate his organs.
