By Sunday 10 am, six floodgates of Osman Sagar and two floodgates of Himayat Sagar were opened. However, by 3 pm, inflows into Osman Sagar surged, leading to the opening of two additional gates. As of evening, the HMWSSB has not issued a flood alert.

The GHMC Lakes Division meanwhile monitored the water levels at Hussain Sagar lake where due to the continuous rains, the water levels reached 513.44 metres marginally surpassing its FTL of 513.41 metres. Surplus flood water was being released into the River Musi through sluice gates and vents.
