Hyderabad: Abhishek and Ashish picked up two wickets each to guide RCC XI to a 19-run win over Rayolina Champions in the final of KKR Cup at the L B Stadium on Sunday.
Batting first, RCC XI rode on Giri’s 30-run knock to post 135 runs in 17.3 overs. For Rayolina Champions, Shiva scalped three wickets while Giri took two. Chasing the total, Rayolina Champions managed just 117 runs losing nine wickets. Vishal scored a fighting 42 but that proved ineffective.
This tournament, conducted by Telangana Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhagam (TRSV) as a part of the birthday celebrations of Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MLC of Nizamabad. Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy awarded Rs 1 lakh to the winners and Rs 50,000 to the runners-up. Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy, TRSV State president, Gelli Srinivas Yadav and State general secretary Chinta Sreekumar graced the event.
