Hyderabad: The Jawaharnagar police on Thursday said Naveen Reddy, the realtor who was found dead in a secluded spot in the Kowkoor Forest area had died by suicide.
Police said Reddy (32), from Jawaharnagar was disturbed over financial constraints and losses in his real estate business. He is suspected to have consumed poison and ended his life.
According to his wife Pinky, he was under mental pressure to clear debts and is suspected to have killed himself. Forensic doctors at Gandhi Hospital who conducted an autopsy on the body too have told the police that he died of poison.
The autopsy report will reveal the type of poison, officials said, adding that the external bruises on the body could have been the result of his attempting to end his life in the forest area.
On Wednesday, locals noticed Reddy’s body lying amidst the bushes in the forest area. The police are probing the case from different angles including a murder.
The body was handed over to the family after autopsy on Thursday.
