Hyderabad: The Cybercrime police have registered a case against social activist from old city Syed Saleem on charges of making derogatory comments against a YouTuber on social media platforms.

The victim, who runs a Youtube news channel and is involved in social activities, had approached the Hyderabad cybercrime police station and lodged a complaint against Syed Saleem. She alleged that he made a few videos with defamatory comments against her and uploaded them on Facebook and YouTube.

Based on the complaint, the police booked a case under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code and took up investigation.
